Clare Dallat, our incredible HDR student (who is in the final stages of thesis examination) and Executive Director of Research and Innovation, and Director of Risk Resolve at the Outdoor Education Group has been named the very deserving winner of the 2018 Charles (Reb) Gregg Wilderness Risk Management Award!
The award is presented annually at the Wilderness Risk Management Conference and recognises an individual who has made significant contributions in risk management to the outdoor education and adventure profession.
Clare is an educator, program administrator, and student of risk management. Originally from Ireland, she works primarily in Australia and has presented academic research all over the world. Among other projects, she is working to understand why incidents happen and develop evidenced-based staff training curriculum to reduce incidents.
Clare will be travelling to Portland, Oregon to accept her award on Wednesday 3 October.
